I bought a new gas package Trane system from Pioneer, and couldn’t be happier with how the experience went. My original tech and salesman, Craig, put together a multi-option quote and answered a TON of questions over the days I spent deliberating and ...researching systems to make sure I was making the right decision. I had some specific concerns unique to my system that he was able to address very knowledgeably. His experience level and patience through this part of the process had me thinking from the beginning that Pioneer was looking like a company I would be very happy to do business with. After I made a decision on equipment, my system was scheduled and installed quickly. The install team, Josh and Guy, did a great job, too. They were on time, professional and courteous throughout the process. After it was done, I could see that they had taken extra care to get the gas line plumbed perfectly, and made sure the third-party thermostat I was intent on using worked properly after having it’s wiring altered to function with the new system. Jason was the Quality Specialist that followed up after a couple days to make sure I was completely satisfied. Like the other Pioneer employees I dealt with, he was professional and courteous, and identified one minor detail in the install that could be improved upon. Within a few days Josh was back to make an adjustment (more cosmetic than anything) and the job was officially done. Spending thousands of dollars on a new HVAC system that includes years of parts and labor warranties isn’t the kind of thing I was going to do without carefully considering both the equipment I was purchasing and the (expected) quality of the service I would be receiving in the future. If what I have experienced thus far with Pioneer is any indication of what I can expect going forward, I can wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone else looking to purchase a new HVAC system. I contracted Pioneer to install a subpanel and transfer switch to work for a generator. They conducted the work without a permit even though I requested one and it's code to have one. Upon obtaining a permit, the work failed inspection and also will not ...work with the generator; it trips as soon as power is turned on. I have been trying to rectify this issue with them for 10 months. The management refuses to answer a call, schedule a meeting, or meet with me in person when I come to the office. I have finally reached the point where I had to file a complaint with a Better Business Bureau. Pioneer has also ignored their request for communication. I spoke with the Better Business Bureau today and they have informed me that Pioneer "has numerous complaints they are failing to address". I could make this a five-page summary of the ordeal with them but will keep it brief in saying stay far away from this company! Not only are they dishonest, they do work that fails to meet code. I will clarify, this has not always been the case with this company. I have used them for 4 years and done over $20,000 worth of work with them at my residence. I believe the new issues are due to a management change. So even if they have served you well in the past, don't count on it anymore. I have lost faith in their ability to perform the contracted work and offered to settle for a partial refund. They ignore this as well.Read More...
